MARCO CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 28th for Marco’s new 76,000 SF corporate headquarters in St. Cloud. Located just off highway 94 near McStop, is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2012. Marco’s leadership team, Rice Building Systems and the City of St. Cloud participated in the Groundbreaking.

5TH AVE LIVE - 200 WEST REDEVELOPMENT
Rice Building Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that construction of the new 5th Avenue Live Redevelopment Project is underway. The old Campus book store located at 5th street and highway 23 will soon be a new facility with multiple national chains for the downtown area. Chipotle Mexican Grill and Noodles are two of the announced tenants.

Sauk Rapids, MN - Rice Building Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of the newly remodeled Wash N’ Tan in downtown Sauk Rapids. The remodel included both exterior and interior improvements.

APPERT'S WAREHOUSE EXPANSION
St. Cloud, MN - Rice Building Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that construction has begun for a 75,000 SF warehouse expansion at Appert’s foodservice. This addition is for dry storage, cooler and freezer materials. The anticipated completion date is December 2011.

TOBIES RESTAURANT REMODELING COMPLETION
Hinckley, MN - Rice Building Systems is pleased to announce the completion of the Tobies Restaurant and Bakery Remodeling in Hinckley, MN. The 3,600 SF extensive remodel project included new flooring, booths, display cases and restrooms.

CHRIS RICE APPOINTED TO ADVISORY BOARD
Sauk Rapids, MN - Christopher J. Rice, president of Rice Building Systems, Inc., has been appointed to a two-year term to the National Advisory Council of Butler Manufacturing Company, the nation’s largest manufacturer of pre-engineered building systems. Members consist of highly skilled and knowledgeable contractors drawn from the 1200 Butler Builder contractors in representative regions throughout the nation. Council members provide the metal building systems manufacturer with insight into their area’s non-residential construction marketplace and make recommendations about Butler research and product development.

RICE BUILDING SYSTEMS RECEIVES ABC AWARD
Minneapolis, MN - Rice Building Systems recently received a Pyramid award from the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards for work done on the Coborn's Grocery store in St. Joseph, MN. The Grocery store was recognized in the commercial construction category $1-5 Million. Awards are judged on 8 sections of criteria by a panel of judges that represent a cross section of the construction industry. The awards ceremony was on January 27th at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley.

RICE BUILDING SYSTEMS RECEIVES SAFETY AWARD
Sauk Rapids, MN - Rice Building Systems was a recent receipt of a 2010 MN/ND ABC STEP award. ABC's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) recognizes the efforts of ABC members that strive to achieve effective safety practices at the firms and provides contractor with a tool to objectively evaluate their safety programs, policies procedures and training. Rice Building Systems was awarded the Silver Level in the STEP program.

RICE BUILDING SYSTEMS CELEBRATES ANOTHER GROCERY STORE COMPLETION
Belle Plaine, MN - Rice Building Systems is pleased to announce the completion of a new Coborn's Superstore in Belle Plaine, MN. The 42,536 SF store includes liquor, convenience store, pharmacy and an express medical center. The store was completed in just over 4 months and opened just before the busy Thanksgiving Holiday.

RICE BUILDING SYSTEMS MOVES TO A NEW OFFICE LOCATION
Sauk Rapids, MN - Rice Building Systems is pleased to announce that after 45 years of calling 1011 South Benton Drive home, the company has moved into a new location across Benton Drive. Located at 1019 Industrial Drive South, the new corporate office is approximately five times the size of our old location and is anticipated to received LEED silver certification. The 23,000 SF office includes almost 5,000 sf of office space and 18,000 sf of warehousing and equipment storage.
